GCYC Green Teens Trip to Yellowstone National Park

In July 2016, twelve GCYC Youth and two chaperones had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Yellowstone National Park on the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. The trip was made possible by Park Journeys, Yellowstone Park Association and the generosity of GCYC donors.

Ecological Education

Students researched Yellowstone's geology, wildlife and history, including the history of African American's work in the park. They created Powerpoint presentations detailing their findings.

"Being a member of the Yellowstone group helps shape my future career path by providing me with insight in how technology connects to nature and the many ways we can create a symbiotic relationship between the two."

— Gregory Harris, GCCP alumni now attending Brown University
