Bring the whole family for a day of free food, fun, and community resources!
Join us at the Gary Comer Youth Center (7200 S. Ingleside Ave.) on Friday, August 8th from 3:30–6:00pm for our annual Greater Together Back to School Block Party, a celebration of all the amazing community organizations and partners working to support young people and families in Greater Grand Crossing!
Don’t miss the best community block party on the South Side, featuring:
- Live DJ & music
- Inflatable rock-climbing wall & go-karts
- Water activities & games
- Community art & crafts
- Raffles, free food, drinks—and so much more!
We’ll also be giving away hundreds of free backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last) to help our young people kick off the new school year with confidence.
Meet and connect with incredible partners like Operation Neighborhood Safety, Chicago Park District, Urban Male Network, Habitat for Humanity, Nike Community Store, Power 92 Chicago, and many more who will be providing free resources and celebrating alongside us.
Together, we’ll make sure our youth and families feel supported, uplifted, and ready for the school year ahead!
