This effort is supported by the Healing Illinois Grant which allows us to explore aspects of racial healing using the visual and performing arts as a platform with over 40 youth. These works are done by teens at GCYC in the Arts Apprenticeship program who are exploring creative ideas around racial healing self-identity and the role that the “artist” takes on when expressing ideas related to today’s issues around equality.
